Marian Roth "A Cure For Pessimism"
Aug 30 – Sep 9, 2019
Opening August 30th 7 9 PM
Provincetown has been my muse since I moved here in 1982. Sometimes I live in the Provincetown village that Ross Moffett painted, sometimes in the schtetl Russian village that Marc Chagall painted, and sometimes in the now of the multi-dimensional village of my pinhole cameras. I have never loved a place as much as this, never felt as happy being in a village, surrounded by water, imbued with its fishing heritage and genial community life, which continually recreates itself . It is here that my life as an artist really began.
